Straight Line Design was established in 1987. The company was primarily a drafting service, specializing in aluminum storefront, windows and curtainwall. Straight Line Design provided shop drawings to many of the major aluminum manufacturers and glazing contractors throughout the Southeast.
Four years prior to, and during the first nine years of Straight Line Design's existence, owner and president Dave Horne worked as an estimator/project manager for several glazing contractors in Charlotte, N.C. where he handled projects from the bidding stages, oversaw installation, and completed final closeouts documents.
With eighteen year's experience in the shop drawing and commercial contract glazing business it was owner Dave Horne's aspiration to combine the two, and in April 1996, Straight Line Design was expanded to Straight Line Design, Inc. Glass Construction; a full service commercial contract glazing company.
In April 2003, Straight Line Design, Inc. will have been in the commercial contract glazing business for seven years. Having successfully completed many bonded, high profile projects, the largest being 1.28 million, Straight Line Design, Inc. continues to be excited about making their presence known in this new millennium.
